Develop the specialised skills to support people through addiction with health promotion, intervention and withdrawal services.

Course Description

Our experienced faculty deliver comprehensive training that equips you with the specialised knowledge, skills and procedures to support individuals struggling with alcohol and drug dependency. You will learn to implement health promotion and community interventions, provide withdrawal services, and meet the ethical and legal requirements of working in drug-related support services. Workers in this field promote a person-centred approach and often work autonomously under broad guidance.

There are no entry requirements for this course, however students are required to undertake the Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment and Pre-Training Review. This will assist to determine candidate's suitability and relevance for the course and identification of any support required.
